T Hostel at Victory Monument

There are laundry and drying machines, and even an iron for clothes. The shower was especially nice, with strong but gentle water pressure. A 7-Eleven is downstairs and the BTS is right next door, so getting around was convenient. It’s by the main road and can be noisy, but if that’s okay with you, it’s a good place to stay.

The location and price were both very good for what you get. Downstairs there’s a well-equipped kitchen area with a microwave, hot water heater, fridge, serving dishes, and free ramen, coffee, and tea with sugar. I lost a star because there’s no lift. I was on the fifth floor, and the stairs got exhausting. There’s also just one shower and toilet per floor for each gender. The shower on my floor was disgusting, though the ones on the lower floors were fine. Maybe the cleaning staff got tired of taking the stairs too.

We spent our first night in Bangkok here after flying over from the UK. It’s handy for the Travel Doctor inoculation service at the nearby hospital, a pleasant walk away via the Skywalk around Victory Monument. Dinner options are within walking distance, and there’s a 7-11 next door for snacks or a local SIM card. The hostel was reasonably priced, clean, and comfortable, with working A/C and decent Wi-Fi. The shared bathroom seemed to get cleaned every hour or so. Reception was very friendly.

The beds were massive and comfortable, and the place felt new and super clean. I’ve stayed in Bangkok hostels twice the price that didn’t offer this level of comfort or environment. For the price, it’s hard to beat. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in here, and I can’t recommend it enough.
