Mandarin Hotel Managed by Centre Point

The biggest difficulty for us was the stairs to the lobby and to places like the spa and restaurant. My elderly mother enjoyed the hotel and its amenities, but those steps meant we couldn’t make as much use of some areas as we’d hoped. I hope the hotel considers better access in the future, with fewer stairs or other options for guests with mobility concerns, especially seniors. The room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with great beds. The complimentary minibar was a nice surprise: four bottles of water, instant noodles, a coffee machine, and more. The fridge worked perfectly and had a small freezer section. Service was excellent all through the stay, from the front desk to housekeeping. Everyone was kind, attentive, and eager to help, and they did their best to handle our requests. Mandarin Hotel is also very conveniently located, a short walk from Samyan MRT Station and close to shopping malls, food markets, and many major sights. We appreciated the complimentary one-way shuttle to popular attractions, though unfortunately the receptionist didn’t mention it at check-in.

The airport rides were handled efficiently, including the drop-off at the end, and the pickup was smooth and well organized. When we arrived after an early morning flight, the hotel kindly offered early check-in, which I really appreciated. I stayed at Mandarin Hotel Bangkok for seven nights during a professional visit in April 2026. The service stayed consistently good throughout the week. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained, a comfortable place to unwind after busy workdays. I was especially glad to find complimentary Sri Lankan Ceylon tea from my country in the room. It felt familiar and reminded me of home. ❤️ The dining was another highlight, with a good range at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even tea. The food was fresh and well prepared for different tastes, and the restaurant staff were attentive and made sure everything was taken care of.

For a family trip, I found this place acceptable, though maybe not the best choice at this price. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the free minibar had soft drinks and instant noodles. The location is pretty good, about a three-minute walk to the MRT stations. That’s convenient for places like the Grand Place and Chinatown, and there’s a shopping mall across the street. It’s less handy for big shopping destinations like ICONSIAM or Siam Paragon. They do have a shuttle bus for those areas, but the timing didn’t work very well for us. The room was noisy because of poor sound insulation. You could hear the main road and construction site, plus footsteps from upstairs and noise in the hallway. The power outlets weren’t conveniently placed, and it would be much better to have one on each side of the bed. Laundry takes two days unless you pay extra for express service. The Wi-Fi wasn’t very stable or fast.

There are plenty of parking spaces, though the ramps felt a little tight when driving my Ranger back out. The room view wasn't much, even from the 11th floor, and I ended up keeping the blinds closed for privacy from nearby buildings. A nice enough hotel.
