The breakfast was delicious, and this could be a great place for families with kids. There’s a sandbox and a pool on the top floor next to the gym. The pool had new chairs, but the glass panoramic gym had no AC. The derive and staff were great, though I would have found it easier with a bit more English. It’s listed as a 5-star hotel, but I’d call it 3 stars right now because they opened too early and many facilities and amenities are still under construction. I paid $50 through booking.com, so I’m not upset with my experience. I just wanted to give an honest review since the place is new and I’d only seen one other review.

The location was inconvenient for us, about a 40-minute drive from the city center, and that didn’t seem clear from how the hotel was presented. Communication was difficult too: reception staff spoke very little English and struggled to understand our concerns, even when we gave them a written explanation in Thai. The room had construction dust, dirty windows and walls, uneven joints, chipped tiles, and protective stickers still left on the surfaces. The bathroom door was stuck. There was no Do Not Disturb sign, safe, iron, or ironing board, and breakfast fell well short of what I’d expect at a five-star hotel. This felt like three-star service at best. The condition of the room and the overall experience were very disappointing, and the five-star classification felt misleading.

The pool area looked neglected: just four sunbeds for the whole pool, usually taken up by people’s things, laundry hanging nearby, insects in the water around midday, and ashtrays full of cigarette ends. It gave the impression there wasn’t much staff supervision. We could hear practically everything outside our room. There was no carpet in the hallways or rooms, so sounds carried and echoed. Housekeeping came only twice in our seven days, both times after we went to reception to ask. The door sign requesting cleaning got no response. When staff did come, they changed the sheets and towels and left water, but didn’t clean the mirror or bathroom or wash the floors. After we asked for the floors to be done, someone spread dirt around with a filthy mop. Our feet were black. There wasn’t a fridge in the room when we arrived, so we had to request one. No safe either. The TV was there but wouldn’t play YouTube or other videos, even though the internet worked fine on our laptop. Breakfast was mostly Asian dishes, with very few international choices and a soup station where basic things like eggs might have been expected. The only fruit was watermelon and pineapple. After a few days, we stopped eating there. The hotel seemed to host mostly tour groups from China, and the breakfast felt geared toward them. The pool, breakfast, cleaning, and refrigerator were all listed in the booking description, but the actual quality was extremely poor. This was the worst hotel stay we’ve had in Thailand, and we were very relieved to leave. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I’ve been here for four days and it’s been my best stay yet. Getting to nearby places is easy, and the staff are polite and cooperative. The rooms have modern facilities and are better than rooms in seven-star hotels, in my opinion. It’s a newly built five-star hotel with all the amenities you could think of. I’d highly recommend it.

Lovely staff and a nice breakfast. A good short stay, especially if you want somewhere quieter outside the city center.
