We planned to spend a month in Bangkok, and Miku Guesthouse looked promising because it had apartments for rent. Once we arrived, though, it was a nightmare. The beds were really old and awful, the place was dirty throughout, and there was an unidentifiable smell in the air. Street noise and the toilet pump kept us awake every night. The sink wasn’t connected to the sewage system, just a bucket underneath it, and the owner only told us after we’d paid for the full month. For what we got, it was highly overpriced. The kitchen was only a portable stove. I wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s clean and safe, and good value for budget travelers. The owner was friendly and helpful, including printing out my Vietnam visa. The location is good, though it can be difficult to find late at night. During the day it’s no problem, and there’s a 7 Eleven across the road. I’d stay again for a short visit, but it’s not suitable for a longer stay in Bangkok.

The rooms are small, but the price is super fair, and the staff are really nice. It’s the cheapest accommodation I’ve found in Bangkok in years. The rooms and facilities are clean. Don’t expect much, just shower, sleep, then head out and enjoy the city.

The service was poor from the start. The receptionist wasn’t kind or welcoming, and never smiled at us. The room was extremely cramped, with only the bed and a tiny strip of space between it and the wall, enough for small bags and shoes. It was very hot, and the air conditioner was only in the hall, not the rooms. This feels more like a motel than a hotel or guesthouse. It’s the worst location I’ve ever stayed in. I wouldn’t stay more than one night, and if you can, it’s better to avoid the place.

There’s no parking, and the bed feels like a box spring with no mattress. The ceiling above the bed was gross, and some of the stuff on it had fallen onto the bed. There were no staff, maids, contact person, or contact information. I took the air con filters out and cleaned them myself. We did all our own housekeeping, and sadly saw another couple leave early to find somewhere else to stay.
