Nakornping Hotel

It was one of the cheapest places in the city centre, but still felt quite expensive. The rooms and furniture are completely worn out, and the fridge looked alarming. There were little ants crossing the bathroom sink. The towels seemed fresh, at least. They supplied soap and toilet paper, but no water or shampoo. The neighborhood wasn’t especially noisy to me, just the occasional street sound, and I slept fine. On the first day I shut the windows all the way to cut the noise and help the AC work better. It took some effort.

The area has a fun feel, with lots of hostels and guest houses around, and it’s a handy base for Bangkok, especially Khaosan Road and the nearby streets. My room was clean enough and did the job. I didn’t get any water or tissue during my four days there, but the bed was pretty comfortable by Thai hotel standards. The price was good, so I’d stay again if I needed to be in that part of town.

Hard to judge how quiet it normally is since I got in late, went sightseeing early, then came back late and checked out early again the next morning. It seemed very quiet during that short time. It’s not a fancy hotel, but it’s a decent place to sleep and really good value for the money.

It’s cheap, but honestly, I wouldn’t say it’s worth it. The place was dirty, smelly, and noisy, and it’s the worst hotel I’ve seen in Bangkok, maybe anywhere. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Even a hostel would be better.
