Nantra Silom

It's an affordable hotel in a central area, with a bus station, BTS, MRT, malls, 24-hour places, and food stalls all nearby. The elevators worked well. Since it's a budget kind of hotel, expect the rooms to be small. Our main issues were internet that was slow or unavailable and inconsistent housekeeping.

I'm staying here now, and this is the loudest construction work I've ever heard outside a hotel. There's building work right outside my room, with some kind of industrial drill being used. When I complained, the hotel asked whether I wanted to cancel. If you have a booking, cancel it ahead of time.

A few things were awkward: the outlet isn't by the bed, there's only one light switch so you have to leave either that light or the bathroom light on, and the safe is complicated enough that I couldn't use it. Still, the room was clean, had a good view, and the AC was strong. Check-in was fast, and the smart TV and bathroom amenities were provided. Housekeeping came daily with fresh towels. There's a 24-hour tea and coffee station in the lobby, with hot water and seating where you can eat food bought from 7/11. The room is great for solo travelers and can also accommodate other people.

Getting around Bangkok was easy from here, since BTS and MRT are just a few minutes' walk away. The staff were kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. My room was simple but clean and comfortable, with good WiFi and everything I needed. Check-in and checkout went smoothly and made the trip easier. I felt comfortable here and plan to return in a couple of weeks. Nantra Silom Hotel is a convenient, good-value place to stay in Silom, and I'd recommend it.
