Hotel Once Bangkok

Breakfast upstairs was a real treat, in a spotless, peaceful setting. There was a continental spread of chilled juices, fresh fruit, cereals, dried fruit, yogurt, salads, breads and pastries, plus cooked-to-order choices like eggs, American breakfast and rice dishes with chicken, pork or shrimp. The drinks were a delight too, made by a terrific barista. Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. At check-in, a lovely young woman welcomed us promptly, and our bags were brought up to a beautiful room that surpassed what we expected. The super king bed was incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning was quiet and effective. They also replenished the complimentary water and coffee each day. Hotel Once Bangkok is a real gem and has the feel of a luxury boutique hotel.

The warm, impeccable service from the front desk and everyone at Hotel Once made a big impression on us. We found the hotel while searching for a place near Bangkok’s riverfront, and it turned out to be a happy surprise. The rooms were spacious, elegant and beautifully designed, and the rooftop restaurant was terrific. It’s centrally located, with laundry service across the street. We’ll stay here whenever we’re in Thailand.

Breakfast was delicious, especially the scrambled eggs and eggs Benedict, and the service was excellent. We could see the river from our table too. We booked a deluxe room, which was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom. The bathtub was a nice bonus.

The rooftop bar was a good spot to sit, and the rooms were a nice size. The pool looked really odd, more like a big fish tank. Aside from that, I had a fine stay at this nice hotel, especially since Asiatique was so close and easy to walk to.
