Orchid Resort

The staff were a big part of what made our stay so good. They picked us up at the airport at 3 AM and drove us to the hotel, for less than Bolt, if I remember right. When I left my charger behind, they were really helpful about getting it back to me. Always polite, too. The rooms were comfortable, the pool was clean, and there's a very nice night market close by. It's great value if you're stopping over before a flight or want a rest after landing in Bangkok before travelling on around Thailand. I've seen the recent negative reviews and think they're unfair. Maybe those people expected a five star hotel. The value for the money is great. I recommend it.

The airport pickup was great and the staff were really helpful. But the noise was hard to ignore. Our room had a grate, mosquito net, and curtain instead of a proper window, and the road, planes, and very loud AC unit outside all seemed to be right there in the tiny, basic room with us. We'll look for another transit hotel at the other end of our trip.

Want cheap and disgusting? This is for you 😅. Look at the pictures. They don't wait for you at the airport, so you have to call in the middle of the chaos. Want to change rooms? You pay more for what looks like the exact same room, just on a lower floor or with two beds 😂. I was lucky to have only a bag. With a suitcase, I can't imagine. It was an offer from my credit card. I paid 15€, and the usual price is 15€-20€, so you get what you pay for. Calling this a resort is a big word 😂😂. Don't lose face.

The night market is a safe five minute walk away, which makes the location handy if you have time to eat there. This is a good, basic place to sleep for a night near the airport. The staff are what I'll remember most. The rooms are a bit dated, but the price reflects that, and I enjoyed my stay.
