OYO 137 Kitzio House Hotel

The bed was easily the most comfortable I've had in a hotel. It's a solid double, not two twins pushed together, and there's no noise issue at night. The restrooms and room layout are nice, and the blackout curtains work beautifully. Staff were very friendly and cute. There are a few steep stairs to get in, with no ramp that I could see, which was a slight inconvenience. The location is nice too, a short walk to the blue line mrt. It really feels like being in the middle of a Chinatown, with 20+ Chinese restaurants on the main street nearby.

The problems started in the first room, where the toilet was filthy and wouldn’t flush, leaving waste in the bowl. It was so unpleasant that I tried to use it as little as possible. After I moved rooms, I found the same mess again. My stay was on November 17, and when I raised the issue, staff suggested it might be my fault instead of addressing the condition of the toilets. I’ve rarely had such a bad experience. A hotel should meet basic cleanliness standards, and this one didn’t. I’d stay away if you want to avoid dirt and bad smells.

My sister and I spent four days here and had no complaints. The staff were kind and helpful, and there was plenty of food nearby at all hours. 7 Eleven was just a three-minute walk away, while HaiKwang MRT station took about seven minutes to reach on foot. I’d recommend it if you’re planning to stay in Ratchadaphisek.

The location worked well, with the metro roughly a 5-7 minute walk away and a 7-Eleven nearby. The room, though, was quite dirty, especially the badly kept windows and air conditioner. I was also surprised at check-in when they asked for a deposit that hadn’t been mentioned during booking. A few hours before checkout, my key card stopped working, so I had to get reception to reactivate it.
