Rezt Bangkok - Hostel

The little drawback was the flimsy bathroom door. It worked fine, but felt insubstantial. Also, the hotel is down a narrow lane off the main road, and there’s no shortcut through Emsphere Mall, so you have to walk out to the main street and around. It wasn’t a problem, just useful to know when you first arrive. Otherwise, I had a wonderful stay at Rezt Bangkok and would happily book again. The location is a big plus, right behind Emsphere Mall and close to a 7-11 and Makro wholesale supermarket. There are massage parlors, casual drinking spots, and plenty of places for snacks and drinks nearby. The team were genuinely friendly, attentive, and helpful. My room was modern and very clean, with a comfortable bed that made it easy to sleep after a long day exploring. Great value for the location.

The staff were lovely and very helpful, and my room was clean and comfortable with a nice bed. Since the hotel isn’t on the main road, it was quiet and I slept well. I’d recommend it, especially for the price. The air in the room was consistently bad. We left the window open for long stretches and tried the AC, but the air quality still didn’t improve, which was annoying. The road to the hotel can feel a little unsafe at night, although we never had any problems. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the nearest BTS station and 20 minutes to the metro. We didn’t mind the walk because there are some really nice, affordable restaurants along the way.

Rezt sits at the end of an alley off Sukhumvit Soi 22, where there are lots of girlie bars and massage salons. Walking back at night was, well, interesting. Still, the hotel was quiet despite being close to nightlife, and I slept without being woken by sun or noise. The thick window curtain blocked both. My room was fairly large and clean, with a comfortable bed, mini fridge for drinks, a small desk for my laptop, and good WiFi. The staff were friendly and helpful. The ground floor has a common room with a kitchen, plus a small washroom with two washing machines and a dryer. Laundry costs around 100-150 THB depending on how long the clothes take to dry. It’s a convenient location. Phrom Phong BTS is about a 10 minute walk away, and in the rain you can cut through Emsphere / Gourmet Market and walk under cover the rest of the way. Asok BTS and Sukhumvit station on the blue subway line aren’t much farther. There are a couple of local restaurants in the alley with decent Thai food for as little as 50 THB. For fancier meals, there are lots of options within a 15 minute walk at Terminal 21, Emsphere, Emquartier, or on Sukhumvit itself.

A clean, dark, and quiet enough room, with a great shower and good value for the location. It’s easy to get to from BTS and right near the mall, with lots of food and drink options around.
