The rooftop pool was a highlight, with lovely city views and a relaxing feel. Our room was spacious and felt luxurious, with a large balcony overlooking the city. It also had an oven and a TV. The welcome drink was refreshing, and staff escorted us to our room. The team were warm and went out of their way to help, even though most spoke little English. Breakfast was decent, with several good choices for non-vegetarians. I had a fantastic stay at Royal Suite Hotel, Bangkok, and would recommend it to couples visiting Bangkok.

Breakfast is complimentary, but it’s made to order rather than a buffet, and the choices are quite limited. The location is ideal and the property is reasonably well kept, though its age shows throughout and it needs renovation. Some maintenance work and pest control were underway when we arrived, which was inconvenient.

I’d stayed here once before and had a pretty good experience, so this second visit was a real letdown. After more than a week, I worked out that the fabric chair in my room might be behind the blisters and itchy, slightly painful allergic reaction that kept appearing above my calf after prolonged contact. The chair clearly didn’t seem cleaned or disinfected. When I told the manager, she offered to replace the chair but didn’t apologize. I was disappointed with that response and didn’t want to argue, so I dropped my plan to extend the stay. I’ve booked another hotel and am checking out tomorrow.

I slept comfortably here, and the hotel management were flexible, responsive, and supportive. The front desk staff were especially friendly and helpful, giving the place a warm feel. The main building and restaurant were very clean, and breakfast was delicious. I hope they keep that quality up. Room hygiene was good but could be better. Some taps were damaged, and the corridor had visible dust and dirt. There was no housekeeping staff on the floor to help with basic needs like water. Even with those issues, my stay at Royal Suite was comfortable, and I’d recommend it to anyone after a cozy, friendly place in Bangkok.

The main drawback for me was being a bit far from the city's main action. Otherwise, it was a decent place for a few nights. I think we paid about 50 to 60 Euros for two nights, including breakfast. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the shower hot and working well, though the view wasn't great. We used the pool, which was empty when we were there, well maintained, and had good city views. Breakfast was basic, replenished regularly, and included no eggs on the first day. A lot of the food felt more like dinner than a light morning meal, though I suppose that suits the Asian clientele. The set menu and bar drinks were pretty expensive, but staff were attentive and kind, and we had a few shots and cocktails.
