Ruamchitt Plaza Hotel

I had to leave early and shorten my stay. They returned my deposit as usual and said the room charge would be refunded to my account in two weeks. They followed through, which surprised me a bit since I'd heard hotels sometimes ignore refund requests once guests have left. The room was as expected for the price, and the front desk staff were very nice. I recommend this hotel.

The traffic outside was noisy at every hour, day and night, and made it really hard to sleep. I also hadn't realized when booking that the hotel basically serves as a brothel, with sex workers picking up customers outside or in the downstairs bar and taking them to rooms. I have nothing against sex work, but I wouldn't have picked this hotel if I'd known. On the good side, the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, and the anytime filtered water was great. The room was large and clean.

The location on busy Sukhumvit, near Terminal 21 mall, is a big plus. Staff are welcoming and always help with questions, and the beds are cozy with nice views from the rooms. Rooms are decent, but amenities are limited. Outside noise can get louder sometimes, though it didn't make much difference to us, and the hotel provides earplugs. Breakfast has very few options, but does the job. No dental kits or bottled water in the rooms. The AC was slow to switch on because of a loose connection in the key holder. Location: 5/5, ambience: 4/5, service: 5/5, amenities: 3/5, value for money: 4/5. Room prices go up on weekends.

The pool was clean and well kept, and the rooftop had an excellent view. The hotel was maintained well, and staff were professional and supportive. They wouldn't allow early check-in before 2:00 PM.
