Trinity Silom Hotel

I don't get the bad reviews. We had a really good stay, and the room was spacious for the price, especially the bathroom. It was clean, though some of the furnishings were a little old, and the price was great for the room quality. There's plenty of food nearby, including street food, and it's about a five-minute walk to the BTS. The only real downside for me was no smart TV, just a few channels.

I stayed here a second time because the location is so convenient. It's right in central Bangkok, and public transport makes it easy to get around, including to the whole Siam shopping area by subway. The rooms are clean but very basic, and don't look quite like the Booking.com listing. I suspect the photos were taken when the property first opened and the hotel hasn't updated its look since, so don't expect too much. There isn't a buffet breakfast. They have an arrangement with the restaurant next door: breakfast costs 180 baht if you pay through the hotel, while going directly may cost 220 baht. That restaurant is incredible for lunch. Overall, the place is reasonably good and convenient, and I don't mind staying here.

At night we could hear odd noises from next door because the soundproofing is poor. The building looks old and dated, and the internet was frustrating to use, constantly disconnecting and unstable. Housekeeping missed towels, and when I asked the front desk for mineral water, they wouldn't provide it. They said the limit was two small bottles a day. This is the first time a hotel has refused me a bottle of water as a guest, and I can't imagine it costs much to provide. The service is poor, and other hotels nearby offer better value. Think it over before booking.

Good location, friendly staff, and breakfast that was good enough. The rooms are fine for the price. The gym is across the street in another complex and has enough equipment. Lon Lon, the restaurant next door, is definitely worth a visit.
