S33 Compact Hotel

I stayed two extra nights because the bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet, with good hot water and in-room safety deposit boxes. It’s well located, reasonably priced, and there’s plenty to do within walking distance. The staff were friendly. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is that there’s no gym, pool, or sauna, even though there seems to be space for a small gym.

The rooms were dirty, and the hotel feels old. It shouldn’t have an average rating over 4. If you prefer cashless payment, avoid the room snacks: they sent me on a goose chase to find an ATM for cash, or I could pay 500 THB for a bag of nuts. The savings weren’t worth staying here.

I spent two weeks here and would definitely return. The room was roomy and comfortable, and having a sofa was a nice bonus for a longer stay. Breakfast was useful, with a modest selection, but everything was fresh each day and served well. The night team was great, especially Mr. T, the night manager. He was friendly and very helpful, which made the stay even better.

I loved the good feel of the rooms and the lighting was okay. The staff were super efficient, too. A package arrived after I’d checked out, and they handled everything perfectly.
