Samer Boutique Stay

The owner or property caretaker was very polite and helpful, and her hospitality is why I’m giving it 3 stars. The rooms were a good size, but the bathroom was very small. There’s no lift, so we had to carry our luggage to the 2nd floor ourselves. A highway runs right outside the room’s balcony, so if you’re a light sleeper or want a peaceful place, this isn’t for you.

The street out front can be loud, so bring good earplugs. Inside, our room was roomy, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with soft mattresses. It’s a small, very nice boutique hotel, and the staff were pleasant.

A fair price for clean, spacious rooms in a great spot, right next to a 7-11 and within walking distance of a must-see tourist attraction. The staff were especially warm and helpful, and spoke excellent English.

I really appreciated how much care the staff took with every request. They were so friendly and helpful that I felt at home during my week at Samer. The room was cozy, clean, and spacious, and the café’s coffee was some of the best I had in Bangkok. Breakfast was good too. The building is small and old, in a historic area, though it’s kept in very good shape. You can hear the road because the rooms aren’t soundproof, and that may bother some people. The location suited me well: my office was a 10-minute walk away, and I was staying at Samer while searching for a condo in the city. It really depends on what you need. For me, cleanliness and service matter most, so I can’t rate the stay below a 10. The noise and building layout come from the location and structure, things the hotel’s staff and management can’t control. It’s rare to get this much for the money, and I appreciate how much they care about the business and their guests. Highly recommend!
