Siam Plaengna Residence

The washing facilities were especially handy for a long trip. I came from Vietnam and did all my laundry here. The room was clean and comfortable, the other facilities were very good, and the security staff were kind. I loved this place.

I didn’t think the room was worth the price, since you could get a new hotel or guesthouse in Old Town for the same amount. The photos look much better than the rooms. I was assigned room 403, where the mattress needs replacing and the couch wasn’t comfortable. The whole room felt like it needed a deep clean and a facelift. Staff didn’t communicate through booking.com, so I had to track down the property’s contact details to learn how check-in worked. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Getting around without a car or scooter was the main drawback, since the location is quite far from everything. They did offer a shuttle to the metro, which was a great option. The room was small but cozy and comfortable, though the inward-opening bathroom door made it awkward to use. We had a small issue at check-in, but it was sorted quickly. The gentleman at reception was fantastic, and communication with him was great. We had a nice stay at Siamplaengna Residence, and I can recommend it.

We canceled right away after seeing tons of roaches. When I told the manager, he started yelling at his staff, which was totally disrespectful. The pictures had catfished us, so avoid this place at all costs. They also charged 100 bot ($3) to use some toilet paper.
