SidaRe Bed and Breakfast

At $12 a night on 15th November 2025, I got a good, clean room that was just right for me on my own, neither small nor large. Cleaning and breakfast were already included. It’s also near the bus and train station. Great quality for that price.

The location was fantastic, only a three-minute walk from the MRT, with a 7-Eleven nearby and a good local food market one minute away, open until 8 PM. There was also good street food at night. Still, after a day out exploring, I didn’t find this a comfortable place to come back to. I’m used to budget stays, but this one left me tired and disappointed. The bed was extremely hard, among the least comfortable I’ve slept on during this trip. The cracked AC remote barely worked, so we couldn’t reliably turn the unit on or off in the heat. The bathroom fan ran all the time with no way to switch it off, and the noise got tiring. The bathroom itself was tiny, about 1 x 0.5 meters for showering, with barely any room to move. There were tons of mosquitoes and ants in the room, so leaving food out would attract company. Laundry was another problem: there were only self-service machines nearby, and when we asked about hanging clothes, staff said the drying area was private and guests couldn’t use it. There was basically no way to dry anything. The staff were kind, but their English was very limited, which made it hard to communicate even simple needs. If you only need somewhere to sleep for a night or two and won’t spend much time indoors, it might work. For me, the hard bed, noise, bugs, and lack of basic conveniences made it an uncomfortable and inconvenient stay.

The staff are friendly, and the location is fantastic, with food, a market, and the MRT all a short walk away. The rooms are very simple and the bed is hard. It’s a good cheap stopover if that’s all you need, but not the place for extra comforts.

It’s a quiet place, and I had a nice stay for one night. The room was quite nice and the air conditioner worked fine, and staff were friendly. It’s within walking distance of the MRT. But when I booked, I was told breakfast was free and compulsory as part of the payment. When I asked about it on the day, they said it would cost 80 Baht per person. The toilet also wasn’t as good as it should be for this price, and they don’t provide things like soap, shampoo, or face wash, so bring your own.
