Space Station Hostel

I stayed two nights and chose a capsule because I love the idea. For one person, there was just enough room. The shared area had cookies and a few drinks you could make, and the bathroom was really good for a proper wash after a long journey. It had a heater, two kinds of showers, towels, shampoo, and soap, and they kept it clean and tidy. The receptionist and everyone around was so nice to me, too. Great service. Honestly, the concept is unbelievably cool for the price, best hostel I’ve been to.

There’s a 7-Eleven nearby, and getting to DMK Airport is easy on foot, just cross the road. That makes this a good option for a late arrival or early flight. I checked in around 12.30 AM and the receptionist was very kind. The room was clean and comfortable for a short rest. No elevator, but everything else was good. Thank you!

I’ve barely slept, and it’s gone past midnight with hairdryers still going and backpackers thumping into my pod like elephants. I have an early start, but people seem to come and go at all hours without considering anyone else. The plastic pods are noisier than bunks, and even closed, they don’t block sound. The beds by the lockers aren’t for light sleepers. Honestly, this place doesn’t feel like somewhere you can count on sleeping. Why are hairdryers right beside a room where people are trying to rest? On floor 5, they were still being used after 12. I also don’t get why the TV in 507 won’t connect to Bluetooth earphones. The day staff member was miserable. I tried to make her smile, but nothing worked. She seemed to hate her job, tourists, maybe the whole world. A quick fix would be to move the storage cupboards outside the rooms, put the hairdryers on floor 2, and switch them off after 23:00 so people can wash their hair when they wake up. Staff should also remind guests that the pods aren’t soundproof. Hostels used to be respectful places, but it doesn’t feel that way now. Maybe set aside a cold floor for people who want to warm up or grab a blanket. For those of us already boiling with no clothes left to take off, it’s just not on.

If you need to sleep over before your next flight, this capsule hostel is a good choice. It’s only a few meters from the red line skytrain, which is handy for domestic or international flights from Don Mueang. The room was cozy and clean, and the bathroom was well maintained. Pretty recommended.
