Sukhon Hotel

For my solo trip, SUKHON was just what I needed in Phraya Thai. It’s right by the BTS station, and the smaller, cozy room had enough amenities. Even so close to the station, I barely noticed the noise. The AC and water pressure were good, and the sheets were clean. The towel was clean too, though it could use an update. It’s reasonably priced and less crowded with loud tourists, so I’d come back.

The BTS stop was the main reason we booked here, but we stayed just one night instead of two. The room was far too loud from the BTS and highway, and it was much too small. The windows can’t be opened because of the noise, and the room ventilation was disastrous. The shower water was only lukewarm, too. They promised to move us to another room, but that never happened.

Beds were comfortable, and the toilet was clean and well stocked. The double-paned windows helped cut down the street noise, though we chose the place for convenience and knew what to expect. Breakfast choices were thoughtful for the price, and the amenities were well provided. Affordable, comfortable, clean, with a location that’s hard to beat. The room was a tad small. In 303, the air conditioning was on crazy mode, freezing even at 27 degrees ;) Otherwise, a wonderful find!

The free breakfast was a real plus, and we found the place clean and affordable. We stayed four nights and had a 5/5 experience. It’s just below Phaya Thai station, with access to the Airport rail link. I’d choose this hotel again if I get the chance to return to Bangkok.
