SureStay by Best Western Iconic Ari-Jatujak

The hotel has a nice lobby, spacious parking and a swimming pool. It’s in a great spot in the middle of the city, with good facilities, and my stay has been very pleasant. The breakfast is quite good, the bed is large and comfortable, and the bathroom is clean with strong hot and cold water. Currently staying at SureStay by Best Western Iconic Ari–Chatuchak, and I’d definitely recommend it again.

The room was roomy enough and had what we needed for our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there are good amenities like a pool and gym. A 7-11 is within a 5-10 minute walk, so you can enjoy strolling past the local shops. We didn’t get a before picture of the room, but we’d come back if we get the chance :)

The booking was for a specific room type, but when I arrived I was told it wasn’t ready and then that it wasn’t available. They put me in a smaller, less comfortable room and offered no refund, only late checkout as compensation. The room was shockingly dirty, dusty everywhere, and the bathroom looked as if it hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks. With paper-thin walls and no soundproofing, I could hear conversations, doors slamming, and every noise from the hall and neighboring rooms. Sleep was nearly impossible. The included breakfast was very poor, nothing fresh, few options, and stale, unappetizing food. The hotel failed on basic cleanliness, comfort, honesty and service. If you value your money, rest and travel experience, I’d strongly advise avoiding this property. Please also remove "by Best Western" as you’re damaging their reputation.

The lobby was cozy, with free drinks and candies, and there was a ground-floor café. Breakfast was included and okay. They also offer a free shuttle to the metro if you tell them in advance. But I wouldn’t stay here again even for half the price. The room smelled strongly of mold, so much that it was hard to breathe. We were exhausted from the flight and barely on our feet. Check-in took a long time, and because we were there for only one night, we didn’t have the energy to ask for another room. The room seemed poorly cleaned, or not cleaned at all. There wasn’t a hair dryer, and the pool downstairs is old and looks neglected. It definitely doesn’t deserve a 4-star rating, and I honestly don’t know how it got those stars.
