Inside, the place feels cosy, though the outside looks pretty rough. The host was kind and caring, and they even made an early breakfast for us while we were staying there for exams at AUL language centre. Our double room was a bit narrow, but the superior double had enough space. There’s free milk and juice, though the hair dryer is shared by everyone in the hostel. I’d recommend it.

The location was good, and that was about it. My so-called queensize bed luxury room cost 1200 baths, but the window looked onto an interior corridor. A light right outside it stayed on at night, even after I told staff it bothered me and they switched it off. It kept getting turned back on. The room smelled strongly of damp, and the floors in both the bathroom and bedroom were very dirty. The breakfast room smelled like a dead rat. There was no juice, just instant coffee. For that price, it felt too expensive.

The price, quiet setting, cleanliness, service, and friendly staff were all hard to fault. Plenty of hotels costing many times more don’t measure up to this place. If you’re reading this, trust me and take a nap here!

It’s a nice spot if you mainly need somewhere to nap. Free Wi-Fi, and MBK Centre and Museum Teusade Thailand are nearby, about 5 km away. I walked there and it took 45 minutes. The place gets crowded. If hygiene is your main concern, it’s not too bad.

The owner was really nice, but the place was in very bad shape. I checked out that same night because things didn’t feel right. Maybe it’s better to wait until things get back to normal and they can bring back the lovely atmosphere mentioned in pre-pandemic reviews, if it was really ever like that.
