The Grand Sathorn

After four pleasant nights at Grand Sathorn Bangkok, I found it easy to reach public transport and food. The area is less crowded, with several food stalls and restaurants nearby and a convenience store within walking distance. The building and vibe look old, but the room was spacious and clean, with all the basic amenities. The staff were kind and helpful. Someone on my floor always greeted me and asked if I needed extra mineral water, since I usually carried my own water bottle. It's a good fit if you want to be away from bustling Bangkok while still getting around easily.

Getting around was so easy, with the BTS station and lots of bus stops just steps away, and the pier only a minute away. My room was huge, with a table, two couches, a desk and a small kitchen area. There was even a bathtub in the bathroom. The staff were always smiling and ready to help. I think reception is open 24/7. I totally recommend this, it's a good choice :)

The restaurant wasn’t operating at night, and the room had several problems. Hot water was inconsistent, the washbasin wouldn’t drain even after I reported it, and the internet kept dropping so often I had to reconnect several times an hour. The hotel is old and the rooms feel dated. The receptionist was rude and arrogant. A bad experience.

Easy to reach from the city center, with tourist spots and places to eat nearby. My room was clean and tidy, and the service was prompt and routine.
