The Lodge at Min Residence

The staff are lovely and check-in is available 24/7, but don’t trust the photos. The room, sheets and towels were in poor shape. The sink water wasn’t even lukewarm, and the toilet hose pressure was much too high. No complaints about the cleaning workers, though.

A good location, rate, and amenities make this one of the budget-friendly lodge hotels in Bangkok I’d recommend. Parking is limited, and the no-smoking rule applies both inside the rooms and across the premises. Those are minor downsides.

For ฿600, I thought this was excellent. The bed was a bit hard, and not all the AC buttons worked, but the room was spacious and extremely clean, with furnishings that looked nearly new. It had a spotless half-size fridge, a nice shower with a water heater, and there’s a lift. I bought a cheap travel cookpot at Big C, plugged it in, and blew the fuse, leaving my room without power. The office was gracious about it and sent an engineer within five minutes. Everything was fine after that. They took an ฿800 deposit against damage or stains and returned it when I checked out. The staff were very friendly, too.

The gated community adds privacy and security for residents, and there’s access to a gym floor. Parking is available with gate pass cards. I was happy with everything here, from the neat, beautiful, spacious rooms to the staff service and security. Overall, a satisfying stay.
