The Loft 77 Hotel

My sister left her phone in the room and it went missing. When she called the number, someone asked her for 500 baht to return it. Maybe a cleaning staff member took it, I can't say for sure, but the hotel's security clearly isn't reliable. No safety.

The rooms are okay. It was raining during my stay, so it got pretty noisy. The woman at reception was really rude, and because of her I wouldn't stay here again.

It's outside the city, and the rooms are dump. The AC couldn't cool the room.

The reception and lobby make a decent place to sit and wait, but both were very dark. I didn't see any security person in the lobby, and I think hotel security is a major part of the safety that makes me love this place and country. Our room was a good size for two, though it needed more lighting because it felt dark and sometimes uncomfortable. Water pressure in the bathroom stayed low through our three nights. The location is good, right by the street so transport is easy, but there's no MONEY EXCHANGE nearby for around 5 km. I asked for an extra bed, then an extra room, then an extra blanket and pillow, and none were available. It sounds quite weird, but we had to manage. The receptionist wasn't cooperative about finding a solution. A 200 ml water bottle costs four times more than outside. WiFi was only provided for one person. They said the key explained how to get access for another guest by contacting reception, but that information wasn't there. It's a nice hotel and could be much better with better service and cleaner rooms.
