There are mosquitoes in both the bathroom and bedroom, and the bed is very hard. Light sleepers probably won’t do well here. The lobby is loud day and night, and you can hear it from the room, along with anyone using the plumbing. The toilet has some kind of plumbing problem and erupts like a geyser every few hours, leaving toilet water all over the toilet and bathroom. I don’t know whether it’s methane coming through the pipes or back pressure when somebody else flushes. The shower’s hot water heater wouldn’t power on. When I asked the front desk person about it, he just said, “No hot water”. I had a serious privacy scare. I noticed a camera under the gap of the door just after getting out of the shower, and thought someone might be taking naked photos or video. There was no one at the front desk. I found the person who worked there in the next room, watching movies on his phone. When I explained what happened and asked about security cameras, he said there was only security video of the front desk, which was odd given where I found him. I asked if he could watch the hallways for anyone filming inside guests’ rooms. He replied, “Can you?” and went back to his phone. His lack of interest made me wonder if this happens there regularly. The WiFi is very slow and keeps resetting, so don’t plan on doing transactions over it. Maybe the rooms suit people who leave their doors open and party all day and night.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely done, but the TV only had two channels. I found the price a bit high, though Agoda had much cheaper rates. One thing to prepare for: the cleaning staff talked loudly on their phones in the stairway early in the morning. Bring earplugs.

In 2018, I found it a cheap place with clean rooms and bathrooms, and the housekeeping was good. The rooms could be roomier, and there’s no lift, so ask for a lower floor if you have heavy bags. There’s no room service or intercom, so don’t expect food or water delivered. The location is handy, with Starbucks, seven11, superrich, and subway nearby, which helped make up for it. My 2019 stay was a different story. We’d booked a triple room with a city view, but got a much smaller room without a window on the seventh floor. There’s no elevator, and although staff said the lower floors were full, we later saw at least two rooms available. They asked us for more money when we requested one. The staff member was rude and mean, and the whole thing was a pretty bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We had paid for six nights through the Trevaloka app, but left early because the room was so bad. I woke up with more than 20 bites on my legs, possibly from bed bugs, mosquitoes, or something else. The room had no window, the toilet smelled, and there wasn’t enough fresh air. The bed was hard and the TV only had Thai channels. My wife and I had to carry our luggage up to the seventh floor ourselves. Even the hotel sign had fallen down and nobody had fixed it. One of my worst stays.

They put us on the top floor of this seven-story hotel, even though we had an Agoda booking and there were empty rooms on the second and third floors. We had a senior citizen with us and asked for a more suitable room, but they still refused. There’s no elevator. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
