The Residence Thepkanjana

The room was roomy and had a nice balcony with a basin, and parking was good. Housekeeping did a great job, and the staff member at check-out was friendly. But there were stains on the bed, and the person handling check-in wasn’t welcoming. Cleanliness and the service at arrival both need work.

This simple condominium has a pool, laundry, and room cleaning service. The rooms and common areas were tidy and clean, and everything worked. There’s no elevator, at least in the building called "Attitude," the one next to the pool. A few cafes and a 7/11 are within walking distance, and I thought it was great value. I was lucky to get the sunset side. While I was there, road and construction work was happening nearby and on the property. The pool area would sometimes get covered by clouds of dust, and the building and road demolition sounds were disturbing.

There’s a bar with a view over the pool, and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It’s a serviced apartment, so breakfast isn’t provided. Check-in was tricky since the staff there didn’t speak English, though the room cleaners were polite and friendly, and the bar staff were very welcoming.

The water was clean and clear, and we had a nice swim in the outdoor pool at the Residence. My wife and I both found the staff friendly, and we’d like to come back on another Sunday.
