The Seven Luck

The view from the windows is beautiful, and the staff are friendly. There are plenty of sockets and the air conditioner works well. The rooms look a little tired, but that didn’t spoil my overall impression. I did miss having a fridge and kettle, or even basic dishes like glasses. It’s a cozy, quiet hotel with a fair price for what you get. The pier is right nearby, and you can get to the center in about 10 minutes. Late at night, though, the options for getting back are walking or taking a taxi.

I didn’t want to leave this terrific hotel, tucked away in such a great location. I first booked two nights, then the stay turned into a week during high season, and the owners made the extension seamless. Even getting to and from Khaosan Rd on New Year’s Eve was hassle-free. I’d happily book again, maybe around September.

The staff were lovely and always ready to help. When food poisoning kept me stuck in my room for two days, they took great care of me. They also gave my friends helpful tips about the area and local transport.

The location made things easy, with transport and shops all close by. I stayed for two nights, and the landlady was very nice and helped me throughout the trip.
