The Xtreme Suites

Getting downtown took a long time by taxi because of the heavy traffic, and the hotel is far from the city center. Communication was also very difficult since most reception staff didn't understand English. The entrance and area outside were dirty, and people openly used drugs there, which felt unpleasant and unsafe. The rooms barely fit the bed, with no chair, table, or seating space. Air conditioning was poor and its controls didn't work properly. In the bathroom, the toilet clogged almost every day, water wouldn't drain, and the shower pressure kept shifting between weak and strong. Wi-Fi was practically unusable. Housekeeping came daily, but the cleaning wasn't very good and staff seemed unskilled. My stay at The Xtreme Suites Bangkok was very disappointing, with very few positives. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, cleanliness, safety, or good service.

The helpful, communicative staff were a bright spot. They stored our luggage for free, and the in-room dining was good. The location was convenient too, with three 7/11 nearby and taxis easy to find. The room smelled like a sewer, the hotel felt very worn, and paint was peeling from the walls. Water marks or moss near the AC made us feel awful. There weren't any queen beds, just two beds pushed together despite our request for a queen. We knew the hotel was affordable, but the smell and moss on the walls weren't okay.

I was disappointed when I couldn't extend my stay at checkout because the hotel was fully booked. I had to find another hotel nearby, and it made me miss this place even more. I'm back in Koh Chang now, but I'll definitely return. The staff were wonderful. The woman wearing a headscarf was very kind, and the male night-shift staff member was a great help. Everyone at checkout was nice too, and they let me leave my luggage after checking out. My room was clean and up to standard, and I felt very happy staying here. I truly recommend it.

The staff were unfriendly and unmotivated, often seeming angry, which made an already bad week worse. I stayed at The Xtreme Suites for a week, and it was one of my worst hotel experiences. The whole place was dirty, from the very small rooms to the curtains, which looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The air conditioning and ventilation couldn't be adjusted, so the room was uncomfortable. The rooftop spa had dirty water and no proper facilities, while the terrace was unusable because the chairs and the whole area were filthy. The hotel didn't match its photos or description at all. I strongly wouldn't recommend it. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
