The Yard Hostel

The bathrooms are compact and get busy, and sometimes you can tell. The rooms, though, are cool and spacious. I started at the Chang mai Yard, so I've been spoiled, but this original yard has a great feel too. Ari is a lovely area, with lots of food and easy public transport access. The little touches bring people back: breakfast, drinking water, advice, friendship, and yoga. The QR code for local food and drinking spots is really helpful. I think the place stays unique because it's always finding ways to improve.

The free breakfast is bread, yogurt, and fruit, and the metro is within walking distance. This was one of the best places I found in Thailand. It's ideal for solo travelers or anyone hoping to meet people. Just sit in the common area and you'll make new friends easily. I wish I could give it 10 stars.

We stayed a couple of days and appreciated being able to use the washing machine and flat iron. They also have activities like yoga, and I admire their sustainable practices. The vibe is very relaxed. Staff are kind and accommodating, and there's a common room and garden where you can unwind or meet other guests.

The location works really well, close to the sky train and some lovely traditional, cheap eateries. The spacious yard has a laid-back feel and is a nice place to spend time after checkout if you're waiting to travel on or just need a break from Bangkok's mania. It's rustic in a good way, and the staff are lovely and very helpful. Breakfast is great and a nice chance to meet people.
