For Bangkok prices, it was decent value, though definitely not a luxury stay. The room was clean and had loads of storage, with two closets and drawers, big cabinets, a mini fridge, hair dryer, and kettle. The air conditioning worked well once switched on, but housekeeping turned it off while we were out. We liked the large, soft towels. There were no washcloths, and hand towels didn’t arrive until day two. If you let them clean, housekeeping leaves two bottles of water each day. There’s free parking and tennis and badminton courts nearby, plus a water taxi along the waterway if that’s useful. The pool was clean, but it’s on the second level beside the parking structure, with sun reaching it around noon. There were only two loungers when I visited, and one was taken. A few things to know: check-in requires a 1000 baht cash deposit. Keep the single key and paper receipt, or they won’t return it at checkout. There’s no room safe, and our balcony slider wouldn’t lock. We had no theft issues, but I didn’t feel very secure, so we only let housekeeping in every other day. Then we ran out of toilet paper daily because the rolls were small and they didn’t leave a spare. The bed is a basic, very firm mattress. I like firm beds, but even so, my hip started hurting when I lay on my side for a while. The wifi was unreliable, so my husband couldn’t count on it for remote work and had to use our Hotspot. The shower head gives a very fine spray, but it does the job. The drains and showers are old, and flies and mosquitoes came out of them. Breakfast was just okay, with 7-10 dishes and only two changing day to day. There’s rice, fried rice, eggs, chicken sausage, a few Thai dishes, and a few Indian ones on weekends, plus 3-4 fruit choices, a small salad selection, toast, juices, coffee, and tea. If you’re after luxury, you’ll need to pay more somewhere else.
