TK. Palace Hotel & Convention Bangkok

It’s an inexpensive place to stay, with a gym, indoor pool, and sauna available to all guests. My room was large and good, though not great, and there was no bathtub. The hotel is a bit away from central Bangkok and its tourist areas, but it’s close to the Impact Area and accessible by the Pink Line monorail, so public transport makes getting around okay. Avenue community mall is also within walking distance.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the beds were sooo comfortable. It’s also a short walk to the train station, with a mallish place nearby and a Big-C right across. But what really stood out was how helpful everyone was after I got injured at my volleyball tournament and couldn’t walk. They had a wheelchair, pillows, and ramps ready, helped wheel me around and carry our bags without my parents even having to ask, and even helped me into the car. I’d recommend the hotel whether you use a wheelchair or not. It worked really well for me in a wheelchair and for anyone looking to have a good time in BBK.

The walls are paper-thin. We could hear the neighbor’s TV and room service slamming doors well into the night. At checkout, they told us we owed $300 because a water bottle with two cigarettes in it, our street portable trash, was supposedly overwhelming evidence that we smoked in the room. We eventually had to call the police to get out of the aggressive accusation.

The breakfasts were excellent, with plenty of dishes and fruit, and there’s a 7/11 about a two-minute walk away and a BTS station close by. The hotel has a beautiful garden and a lovely modern lobby. The rooms are spacious and clean, with crisp white linens and towels, and the bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub. The room lighting is dim and could be improved. Reception, housekeeping, and F&B teams were professional. I also learned more about the LakSi area and this part of Bangkok during my stay.
