The main drawback is that the hotel faces the road and has glass doors, so voices from the other side carry through. For the price and what you get, I found that a small compromise. The staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was nice, and both the bed and bathroom were clean. There was even a locker attached to the bed for bags and valuables. I chose Vestel Aree for my last night in Bangkok because I wanted to be near the metro station that connects to the airport. It's an easy walk from there. I'd recommend it if you're on a budget and want to stay close to the station.

From the outside it looks pretty dull, but inside it's peaceful and clean. There's a water boiler, coffee, and a large table where you can eat or work. The facilities are clean too.
