I’m still staying here long term, so the disruption has been especially disappointing. I specifically asked for the quietest room at check-in, then woke early to loud repair work happening on the floor above, with no warning. I went to reception to complain, and staff said they hadn’t been told in advance either and that the work had been decided suddenly. They offered me a suite for two days without charging the difference, but then expected me to return to my original room while the repairs were still underway. Since I’m here for an extended stay, I offered to move to the suite and pay its regular rate, but they said it was already booked for the 25th and 26th. I also asked whether they could arrange some other alternative, but there was no flexibility. I expected better planning and communication, and a fair way to deal with a long-term guest whose rest is being affected. I’ve asked to speak with the owner today and am waiting.
My son and I stayed four nights, and we both liked the clean room. It didn’t have a bed smell, and we had drinking water and towels. We could hang our laundry on the balcony, too. Bang Kapi mall is about a 15-minute walk away, with a Super Rich money changer and a large supermarket. Getting into the city by train is a bit of a trek because you have to transfer. The location may work better if you’re traveling by boat during the day. There’s also bus 514E from the main road towards Silom. It takes the expressway, so the ride is very fast. A one-way ticket costs 25 baht, a budget-friendly way to get into town outside peak hours. The main drawback is the location if you need to commute into the city for work.
The room was the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in, and for a two-star hotel it deserves more. There’s a smart TV with YouTube and Netflix, parking, and a comfortable lobby with a coffee drink you should try. I couldn’t figure out the bathroom hot water machine at first, but the reception guy helped me 🫶🏼✨. It’s a long way from the city center, but I felt it was worth every penny. Good job, and I hope I can visit Thailand again.
It’s quiet here and the shopping mall isn’t far, but there’s a strong smell from the decorating.
The staff were so friendly, and the new room was very clean and quite a bit bigger than rooms at other nearby hotels. Hope to stay again.
