We found the house clean, comfortable, safe, and welcoming, with good value for the money. It had a shared kitchen and laundry, plus a shared TV in the common area. The room was clean, air-conditioned, and the facilities were complete and well kept. There was also a pantry with snacks, coffee, and tea guests could help themselves to, a thoughtful touch. It was a quiet place to rest, and the owner lives in the same building. He's friendly, speaks good English, and was easy to communicate with. He also runs a vet clinic and café right next door, which was handy. The staff helped carry our luggage up to our room. We stayed as a family and found the house manageable, though the stairs and multiple floors might make it less suitable for very young children.

The owner lives here too and is great, very friendly. It's a decent neighborhood where you'll see children walking to and from school, and there's a 7-eleven about a minute away. I'd stay here again next time I come to Thai. It's a homestay with a private room containing beds, a toilet, shower, and sink. There's a small corner where two people can eat, a cupboard for hanging clothes and keeping towels, and a dresser for personal things. Shared extras include a washing machine, a small home gym, and a little kitchen and hangout area on the fourth-floor rooftop.

I booked through guestreservations.com, which handled reservations for the owner, and the price didn't add up. Four days at $22 a night should be $88, but I was charged $151 plus $2 in taxes. Why? It's not about the money so much as feeling scammed by a middleman. It's a distasteful practice for both tourists and the owner, and it should be stopped.

A lovely home-like feel and we slept well. The host/owner welcomed us warmly and was very friendly. It's easy to get to street food, and the location near BTS and Chatuchak Market is superb. A great base for exploring everyday life in Thai.
