Zee Thai Hostel

For the affordable price, the room was adequate for my one-night stay in August 2025. I had a private room that was spacious and clean, with free Wi-Fi and an air conditioner that worked well, though it was a bit noisy. The shared toilet was clean too. The receptionist was very friendly and available around the clock. The upstairs room did get quite hot during the day. Free coffee and tea were also available.

The night shift boy was very rude and unkind. My friends had checked in and paid for everything, and told the staff I was coming, but the boy wouldn’t let me in because I hadn’t checked in or paid myself. He said visitors weren’t allowed without permission, even though I was meant to join them in the five-bed dorm. He told me to go downstairs or outside to meet them. I asked if he could share the Wi-Fi so I could call my friends, but he refused and told me to go back to my place and contact them. It was a bit far, so I politely asked again. He repeated that I hadn’t paid, even when I offered him money, then told me to buy a SIM card or figure something else out. Really pathetic. Don’t stay there.

There’s a 7 eleven downstairs, and the location is very nice. The staff are kind and friendly too. The main drawback is that the room has no window, so it’s hard to get sunlight or fresh air inside. Other than that, it’s a decent hostel if you need somewhere to stay :)

The private room matched the photos and description. But on the fourth day, the woman at the front desk rudely asked why I was sitting on the bench if I wasn’t a guest. I showed her my keys, and she didn’t even apologize. It made me uncomfortable.
