We stayed in a spacious, attractive pool access villa with well-equipped rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful, and WhatsApp made communication easy and efficient. The complex is kept up well and has several lovely pools, though some weren't filled with water. The 'Boathouse Hua Hin' itself is a huge residence complex with beautiful plantings, about 15 minutes by taxi from Hua Hin downtown. Getting to 'Chom Talay', the only nearby restaurant, was awkward. The roads and paths shown on Google maps as direct routes from the complex are blocked by walls or gates. You can only reach it via the beach at low tide, but at high tide the beach is completely flooded, and even at low tide there are large patches of seawater trapped in furrows. So we had to leave the complex and walk about 1 kilometer around it. Luckily, food from restaurants and goods from supermarkets were easy to order through platforms like Grab and have delivered to the door. The water supply cut out suddenly several times without warning, and we weren't told how long it would take to come back. The outages lasted around 20 to 30 minutes, but it's a problem if you're in the shower covered in soap. WiFi was disappointing the whole stay. Replacing the SIM card and later the router didn't help, and speeds stayed around 1.8 MBps. Streaming TV barely worked, and browsing the internet was nerve-racking. For the price we paid, that speed wasn't acceptable.

I love living here. It's super quiet and peaceful, very green, and there are lots of pools. The staff are great, and the monthly rental prices are good. And to Mark Tonder, your comments are baffling and baseless. A quick, superficial look doesn't tell you much. Taking a photo of bags of leaves during a cleanup and calling it neglect is shallow. The staff work hard, but you seem to notice only problems you've made up. The gym claim is a blatant lie. There are three AC units, which you'd see if you stopped complaining and looked. Ignoring hardworking staff while searching for things to criticize says more about you than the property. Your review reads like ignorance mixed with a personal vendetta, and it means nothing to those of us living here peacefully. Save your energy and find somewhere that meets your bizarre, entitled standards. We're perfectly happy here and don't need a disgruntled tourist's opinion.

On move-in day, Charles helped carry my belongings to the room, then gave me and my friends a detailed tour. Since then, I’ve had one small issue, and it was dealt with right away. I recently took a long-term lease in building C of the boathouse complex, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the building and staff, especially Charles, the building manager. I think I’ll be happy calling this place home for the next 18 months.

I rented a ground-floor condo in The Legend building through AirBnB, with direct access to the pool. The apartment itself was great and had everything needed to feel at home for a few days. But pigeons were a constant problem in this high-rise. Some balconies have netting to keep them off the railings, but many don't, so there was pigeon poop on this apartment's patio and in the pool. The pool was cleaned daily, mostly because I complained, yet there was always poop somewhere in it. The building owners should deal with the pigeons immediately. I've stayed in similar condos throughout Thailand and never had this experience before. The complex is near Hua Hin Airport and has lots of empty properties, which makes it very quiet. I think about 63 are for sale or rent. Pools are everywhere, but maintenance isn't as good as it should be. Many are dirty and look uninviting, maybe because there aren't many people here. Nearby there's only 1 shop, and the surroundings feel bleak, with unfinished building projects. The complex is about 15 minutes from the centres of both Hua Hin and Cha Am. I'd recommend having a car or motorcycle to get around.

There’s direct access to the beach at this great apartment and villa complex in the Cha Am area, near Hua Hin. It also has a long swimming pool that goes around the premises.
