Juntima Boutique Hotel

We pulled in while driving north from the south toward Bangkok, stopping at this hotel in Hua Hin near Cha Am. The stay was unpleasant. The rooms felt old, the beds were uncomfortable, and the doors were so thin you could hear everything in the hallway. It’s right beside a busy street, and the rooms aren’t soundproof, so we slept poorly. I wouldn’t recommend it.

For 400B for one night without breakfast, I think it was worth the price. Still, I was disappointed that there wasn’t even a bedside lamp and the lighting was sparse. Extra towels or pillows cost more. The bed was large and comfortable, and the old aircon worked.

We stopped here during a long drive from Samui to Pattaya. It was easy to get on and off the highway, and the place was very clean and well run. The cafe on site was convenient and the food tasted great. The TV and AC worked, and it was excellent value.

The place itself is nice, but the cleanliness and management were awful, and staying there made me feel sick. There were long strands of women’s hair all over the villa rooms, plus lizard droppings on the floors and in the toilet. More than once, the housekeeper didn’t replace the sheets after guests checked out. She just pulled them back together, leaving visible creases and stains, along with the previous guests’ lingering body odor and sweat. The room perfume she sprayed was so pungent that it was hard to breathe, and I got a headache from breathing in so much of it. When I raised the cleaning issue, she was rude, snubbed me, and told me to get lost. I complained to the Woman Manager, but she didn’t seem to care about reprimanding the extremely insolent and Impertinent maid. Terrible housekeeping and management in an otherwise nice place.
