The friendly, attentive staff were always ready to help, and complimentary bicycles are available for a leisurely ride around the area. Breakfast didn’t have a huge range, but it was carefully prepared and delicious. Inside, wooden floors feel nice underfoot, and high ceilings give the hotel an open, airy feel. The balcony looks out on tall, leafy trees, while mature trees all around the well-kept property offer shade and privacy. Guest rooms are cozy, inviting and set up for a restful stay. There are two floors, with a charming dining area downstairs. It’s a comfortable place with a calm, home-away-from-home feel, whether you’re visiting for a weekend or longer.

I’ve stayed at Raya Resort three times and have been very happy with it. It’s peaceful, quiet and well maintained, with a shaded sitting area at the beach just steps away. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable. The bungalow has a lovely living area with beautiful floors, woodwork and window treatments, along with lots of thoughtful touches. Under the living area, there’s a private courtyard with a fountain, chairs, two day beds, a sink, fan, umbrellas, flip flops and two bicycles. Each unit also has beautiful balconies. Breakfast at the cafe overlooking the ocean is a great way to start the day. An attendant serves food and drinks at the beach and cheerfully moves the umbrellas to keep guests shaded. The restaurant serves delicious food, with nice details throughout, and the staff are friendly and professional. There’s live music in the evening. I highly recommend Raya Resort!

The green fields and beachside location make for a lovely setting. My cabin wasn’t suited to five adults, though. It only had a separate toilet room and shower room. I don’t understand why the first floor is left empty. They should add another shower and toilet room downstairs. The electricity also went off sometimes.

A great spot for a quick getaway from Bangkok. The food is superb, and the coffee shop has top-notch desserts. Across from the resort, there are lots of shacks serving delicious fresh seafood. The only downside is that the beach is infested with jellyfish. 🪼

The restaurant is clean and pleasant, with fresh tablecloths and napkins. The food is very good, both Thai and farang, and the waiters are polite and speak English. VAT and tip are added to the bill. On Fridays and Saturdays there’s live music, farang style.
