The river makes this a calm, quiet spot, though the walk into town is a bit far. A Grab bike costs just 20 baht. The pool was nice, but there was dog poo on the artificial grass outside it in the morning, and it was still there at night. Dogs also wandered around the property at 2 a.m. and woke me every morning. I wish there were a gate to keep them out. I know there are soi dogs everywhere in Thailand, but it drove me mad trying to sleep. I enjoyed my stay, and the staff were one of the best parts. The manager, Mint?, was an absolute gem and helped me sort out a booking I'd made by accident. She didn't have to, and I really appreciate it. The room was fine, with a particularly good-sized bathroom by Thai standards. A wall separated the shower from the toilet, so the toilet didn't get soaked, and the A/C worked great. I only had breakfast because the restaurant was closed every time I was there. Breakfast was fine, with the usual buffet of some Western and Thai options. I just had toast and a great coffee. The two ladies working that day, whose names I didn't catch, were lovely. I got the room on sale for about $40 AUD instead of $120, which was perfect for me. I wouldn't have paid more. Across the road there's a small local restaurant. Do go over if you want the best fried chicken wings and rice, with a Coke, I've ever had for 60 baht. Now that I'm home, I miss them so much!
