Breakfast isn’t included, but there’s a proper Italian café right downstairs. The owner, originally from Romagna, makes cakes, pastries and bomboloni each day, along with real Italian cappuccino and coffee. If you get tired of Thai food, Alberto also runs "Rugantino" in Kata, where he serves dishes inspired by traditional Roman cooking, including excellent pinsa, tripe and paccheri with crab. Alberto is always ready to help with anything you need. The accommodation is excellent and very well placed for exploring the islands, right on the Chalong marina, with restaurants, street food, markets, massage parlors and motorcycle and car rentals just a few dozen meters away. I highly recommend it for the quality of service.

The hotel is good, though the noise can be a lot. It’s right beside Chalong Pier, where island tours leave, so things get crowded and loud in the fall. Getting there can be a hassle too, since the road is very narrow and often jammed with big buses trying to squeeze through. The room was cleaned and the towels changed daily, and they left two bottles of water. The view was only so-so: mostly the roof of a gazebo where taxi drivers sit calling "Taxi, taxi" all day, along with the pier and boats.

It’s right by the pier, which is convenient, but the rooms are only so-so. Fine for one or two nights at most.

It was a bad stay for me. The service was very poor, the location felt terrible with everything far away, and there was neither dining service nor a pool.
