Chalong Miracle Lakeview Suites

I’d warn families, especially those with children, away from Chalong Miracle Lakeview because of the pool. There were broken tiles all over, with sharp debris in the water. My child badly cut his foot while swimming after stepping on shattered tiles scattered across the pool floor. I told the staff, but they seemed indifferent and did nothing. Ignoring such a basic safety problem is unacceptable. The place isn’t properly maintained, and the pool is a serious hazard. If you care about your family’s safety, don’t stay here.

While I was asleep at night, someone came into my room through the balcony. I woke to the noise, and the person left through the front door. I ran to the lobby for help, but they didn’t call the police and just checked the cameras. They gave me another room, but I still didn’t feel safe and left. I asked for a refund and they’ve stopped responding. I got no real help at all. At least give me my money back. Never staying here again!

This is a peaceful complex, with large one bedroom, two bathroom apartments that have a jacuzzi, laundry room, and big balcony. Views vary: some look over the lake, others toward the mountains, and some take in Big Buddha and the mountains. The grounds are nicely landscaped, with water fountains in many spots and trails around the lake for long walks. It’s very clean, with lots of parking for cars and motorbikes. There’s a gym and two huge, well designed pools that are usually quiet. The buildings are peaceful too, and the community is polite and clean. Staff are friendly, professional, and always available. The cafe, bar, and duck boats are currently closed. There’s 24/7 security at the gate and CCTV, and the location is near shops, Tiger Gym, temples, and other places. Food and grocery delivery options are plentiful. A great place for a long term stay.

The service was very poor, and the staff didn’t help. Right from the start, I had problems in my room, including blocked toilets and a hot water system that exploded. It broke my son’s iPad, but the hotel kept telling me that the iPad wasn’t their problem. If you’re coming to enjoy your time in Thailand, don’t stay here. They just want your money and don’t care what happens when there are problems with the room.
