Jasmine Villa

The cleaners and local people were friendly, so I was prepared to overlook the booking problems. We didn’t get the villa we’d reserved, weren’t collected at the airport, and then had to pay extra for the replacement villa. The worst part came after our friend’s scooter accident. We were charged almost the cost of a whole new scooter. We asked Thai’s how much repairs should cost, and it seems we were badly overcharged. They held onto a passport until we paid, then asked for more than the receipts they’d shown us. I’d never stay here again. The decking had mould, the pools were shallow and cold with no sun reaching them, and there were ants all over indoors. I’d tell people to avoid these villas, especially if they don’t want to deal with what felt like a scam.

I booked Jasmine Villas through Expedia in October for a Thailand trip, with our stay four months ahead. Then Expedia emailed last night to say the property was permanently closed and couldn’t host us. I’m unsure that’s accurate, since it’s still listed on other sites and the website seems to offer long-term rentals. I can’t tell what’s going on with this place, but I wouldn’t waste time booking it. If they can’t take two guests with that much notice, they probably shouldn’t be operating.

The villa was spotless, and the on-site super was great. It also felt secure and peaceful, with parking that fit our small SUV. The two bedrooms look out over a beautiful pool. Highly recommend!
