The place looks nice and the pool is good, but the rooms are packed close together. You can hear every noise, even people in the village opening and closing doors. I’m not sure if it’s every room, but mine had ants everywhere at night, including in the fridge and all over the toilet.

I ended up loving my stay here, even though Tiger Muay Thai had placed me here without asking. I would have chosen it over the rooms at Tiger. The rooms were peaceful and clean, the owners and cleaners were really nice, and the place is tucked down a small street off soi tai-ed, surrounded by trees and wildlife. The pool did look a little green at times, though nothing too major. The towels were a bit of a mystery, sometimes I’d have five scattered around my room and other times none. Still, it’s an amazing, quiet place, and I’d highly recommend villa de mama to anyone staying or training here.

So far everything has been perfect. It’s peaceful and quiet, with lots of trees and greenery that make it feel like a mini jungle. There’s a pool and a big indoor-outdoor space for hanging out. The owners manage the place themselves and are amazing people.
