I had some really lovely conversations at the coffee shop on site, and everyone I met was kind and welcoming. The setting itself feels like a little city paradise, calm and serene with plants and birdsong. Baan Lek Villa blends old and new beautifully in its design. I hope I can return, and I'd recommend it to everyone.

That aloof little cat won our hearts, and breakfast had the same warm, familiar feeling as home. After a long time away from upcountry travel, we found the stay deeply relaxing and worry-free. The staff welcomed us like a younger sister coming home. The villa mixes traditional Thai architecture with modern design, and its convenient spot near the city's main attractions makes getting around easy. Highly recommended for a peaceful, comfortable stay.

The staff were really nice, and breakfast was good. It's a quiet, clean hotel and we had a good stay, though walking there in the evening could be unpleasant. Dogs outside would follow and bark aggressively, so on the other nights we took a taxi into the hotel yard to avoid them. Still, 5 STARS!

The attached coffeehouse serves delicious treats, and the architecture is amazing. The design brings traditional craftsmanship together with modern touches in a thoughtful, high-quality way. More than that, the family who developed, own, and run Baan Lek Villa are so kind and clearly care about their guests. It felt like coming home. In 26 years of visiting Thailand again and again, this has easily been my best hospitality experience. Thank you for making me feel so welcome. I can't recommend it highly enough for that hospitality alone.

The villa has a lovely design and feels very homey. The staff made us feel welcome and took care of what we needed, and the owners were kind and friendly. It's the best place to stay in Chanthaburi, and I'd definitely return if I get the chance. You can rent scooters, and bicycles are free to use.
