Paradise Resort Cafe

Room 5 had the view we came for. The mountains looked majestic at sunrise and sunset, and honestly, that’s why I’d come back. At night it drops to around 15°C, so eating hot mookata on our terrace was cozy, romantic, and a little addictive. The staff, one man and one woman, welcomed us so warmly that it felt like home. We had chicken wings and fruit wine for tea, and demolished them. We wanted the wings again for breakfast, but they don’t serve them then. Tragic. This felt like a lovely escape from noisy, fast-paced city life. It’s a very romantic place, good for a proposal, pre-wedding photos, or just getting away with your favorite person. I’m not posting pictures of the room or building because the mountain view is the whole point.

The room was spotless, and the whole place felt warm and relaxing. We had a great time with mookata and the outdoor projector. The mountain view was amazing, and the staff were friendly and spoke English well. I’d come back to Chiang Dao if I get another chance.

The view was all we needed at this lovely resort tucked below the mountains. It felt like a real break from everyday life, and made for a properly relaxing evening. There were nice extras too: a free movie each night, a cooking activity, and an entertainment room for anyone who wanted it.

We stayed four nights in Room 1 and really enjoyed the area, which was a pleasant surprise. Ask for Room 1 or 2 if you want the best views. The sunset over the rice paddies was amazing. You’ll need your own transport because the property is well away from the main road. That distance is also what makes it so peaceful and idyllic. Nights get cold, so be prepared. We asked for extra blankets and needed them.
