Sleeping Well Chiangkhong - Hostel

We needed an affordable place for one night before crossing the border, and this worked out perfectly. It was clean and quiet, the staff were nice, and dropping off the key was easy. The showers were cold, but honestly pretty refreshing.

We stayed one night for a visa run. The room was small, clean, and had a comfortable bed. There were nice shared spaces inside and out, plus an evening market on the street right outside.

Our private room was spotless and quiet, with a comfortable large double bed and a decent en suite. For one night before crossing into Laos, it was great value, and we would have gladly stayed longer to see more of town. Check-in was friendly and easy, and we could check ourselves out. There's a bar opposite that exchanged Bhat to Kip at a good rate, along with plenty of places to eat. On the Saturday we were there, a roadside market was running for locals. We didn't go to the night market by the river, though other people said it was good. A couple of temples are within walking distance too. I'd definitely recommend it.

I liked staying here so much that I kept booking more nights. Agoda was cheaper than the reception. The staff were very nice and kept the rooms clean. There's a convenient laundromat at the entrance, and the common area has a fridge and microwave, plus tables where you can eat indoors with AC or sit outside and enjoy the view. We had a private double room with a shared bathroom, which was very clean. The only time it wasn't clean was when a group of guys got high and didn't flush the toilets. Apart from that, we had no problems.
