Joe and his family are what made this hostel stand out for us. He was incredibly kind and made sure we were comfortable, shared group activities, and could book day tours for us. My husband and I had a spacious private room with a comfortable bed, bathroom, fridge, and air conditioning. The place was clean, everything worked, and the location and price were great. Laundry was convenient too, with same-day service available if you asked early enough.

The front desk made booking excursions really easy, and the price was excellent. I’d recommend booking through Emily: she got me a discount on an elephant sanctuary trip that included lunch and a full day of activities. I shared a well-kept, air-conditioned four-bed mixed dorm with two friends. Old Town Chiang Mai was about a five-minute walk away, with night markets and plenty of food options nearby.

The rooms were spacious, very clean, and had everything I needed. You share the bathroom, but it was always clean. The staff were friendly and had all the information we needed, and tours around Chiang Mai could be booked at the hotel. The room rate was good for the area, and the location is convenient, about two blocks from the Old City. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Joe was a wonderful host and helped us with anything we needed. His suggestions were always right on, and staying here made us enjoy Chiang Mai even more. Everyone was friendly, and the place felt like a home away from home. The location was great too.

Even with a last-minute booking, I had a pleasant stay in Chiang Mai. The owner was friendly and helpful, and spoke English quite well. We were able to leave our backpack there after checkout before heading to the airport. The husky was super cute and such a good boy.
