I usually stay one or two weeks when I visit Chiang Mai, and I plan my trips around availability at the Anatara Service Suites. After more than 30 trips to Thailand and around 10 to Chiang Mai, I still find Anatara Properties a real pleasure, especially after tiring long journeys. The suites are lovely, comfortable and wonderfully quiet. The staff will try to sort out anything, from an everyday request to a problem you didn't expect, and before long it feels like home. I'll be back on my next visit and would recommend staying here to see why I keep returning year after year.

We spent 4d3n in a two-bedroom unit, and the nightly chocolates with turndown were a nice treat. Pai and Bam were especially welcoming and went out of their way to help, even leading the soap-carving session when the instructor couldn't come. Service was excellent as usual. A few things could be easier: the shower lighting is dim, and a dimmer would let guests adjust it. The shower tap was hard to turn, especially for older people, and the water kept shifting between hot and cold. Still, it's a great place to stay.

The buffet was superb, and the rooms were clean and roomy with a pleasant spa-like smell. It's a classy, luxurious place to stay, just a two-minute walk from the night market. We had a very good vacation.

We felt we got good value here. The place was cozy and comfortable, and having night markets nearby and a 7/11 for anything we needed made it convenient. Ms. Bam at reception was also a big help with our check-in and check-out. The suite rooms have washing machines, though ours didn't dry clothes very well. If you're staying a while, you can hang things on the veranda. If you need clothes ready quickly, a laundromat may work better.

We had a two-bedroom apartment with everything we needed, and they kept replenishing it. It was a great choice for our family. The reception staff gave us useful suggestions for places to eat, get massages and shop. BAM was especially helpful and wonderful.
