B2 Riverside Premier Hotel

The room itself was spacious, bright, and felt clean, with plenty of furniture and drawers. The king-size bed was very comfortable. Staff were warm and friendly, though they couldn't help us arrange transport or tours. The location was decent, with cafes and restaurants nearby and the Old Quarter a 15-minute walk away. Traffic on the hotel's street could get congested. We'd read plenty of reviews before arriving and knew some of what to expect, but still left disappointed, even with a “you get what you pay for” mindset. A music bar right behind the hotel made it hard to sleep, and we could hear it through earplugs. The shower was exceptionally dirty and covered in mold. Seeing it in person felt unacceptable; it looked as if black mold had simply been painted over in white. The Wi-Fi repeatedly disconnected us, claiming there were too many devices even though we only had two phones connected. We had to call reception several times for a new username and password. It wasn't the biggest issue, but it kept being a nuisance. On our last day, water stopped flowing from the shower and sink, though the toilet still worked. Staff said they were fixing it, which was understandable. But once it came back, the water was brown. We couldn't shower or even wash our hands before going to the airport. That may not have been the hotel's fault, but it added to the problems we were already having. For a short stay it was fine, but with all those hassles, it felt overpriced and like we hadn't got what we paid for. If they put work into the bathroom and Wi-Fi, it could be a decent place to stay.
