The rooftop deck looks out toward a nearby temple, especially lovely after dark, and I liked having the upstairs living room for morning yoga. The pool runs quite cool, which would be welcome on a hotter day; the small gym has an elliptical and a few weights. Breakfast had a nice mix of Asian and Western choices, and the tea was lovely. Taem at the front desk was very helpful when I arrived early and had to wait for my room. The room was spacious and nicely equipped, even with mosquito lotion packets in the bathroom, where the shower could also be used as a tub. The walls are thin, though, so one night I lowered my volume out of consideration for another guest. It was handy for exploring Chiang Mai old Town and nearby temples and other places.

We had a really enjoyable stay and would happily come back. The hotel felt special and different, and its spot made it easy to reach both the old town and the riverside area nearby. There are good bars around, plus a great noodle restaurant just around the corner.

It’s a pretty hotel, and the room itself was nice, but the phone didn’t work and the water drained slowly. When I reported the phone, I was told phones in all the rooms had been out of order for some time. Nothing was fixed during my three-night stay. The walls are thin, like at many hotels, so light sleepers may want earplugs. Being on the main street made it easy to walk to food and drinks, as well as restaurants, weed shops, and massage places.

We were able to check in early, and while waiting for the room there was a lovely living room area to sit in. The staff were delightful, and breakfast was lovely. This little hotel was a real pleasure.

The staff were super friendly, and the location was great. The room was nice, though I would have liked some closet space. The hotel itself is beautiful, with gorgeous dark wood.
